A common question that pops up in my inbox, DM's and that I see on FB groups is, "how do I optimise my website when I have more than one physical location?" Here's my advice...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Say your physio business that has 3 locations (Melbourne, Geelong & Bendigo, for example), how do you optimise your website so that you will appear on Google in all 3 locations?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here's what I suggest: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1️. Create a page on your website for each location and write content specifically for that location.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Use locational keywords in the page title, meta description and heading tags for each individual page, and add the location to each of your image alt titles.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2️. In the first 200 words on your home page, make it super clear that you have 3 locations - bold the locations or change their colour to make them stand out. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3️. Add 3 buttons on your home page (in the header or footer) that clearly show each location, for example "MAKE AN APPT IN GEELONG" or "CALL OUR GEELONG OFFICE". ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
☝🏼OFF YOUR WEBSITE👇🏼⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Create individual Google My Business accounts for each location⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Build links to each locational page on your website⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Add your business to any local directories such as your shire council's business directory, yellow pages etc. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ And lastly, encourage reviews on your Google pages for each location.
